My client, an ambitious FTSE-listed financial services firm, are looking to appoint a Data Privacy Manager to provide data protection advice and guidance across the business for the effective management of data protection risks. This role is on a 12 month FTC.Supporting the DPO, the role will embed and manage the data protection framework across Group entities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The role will also:
  • Contribute to the development of appropriate policies and processes within the data protection framework
  • Produce MI, including trend identification and data analysis to inform data protection risk management
  • Manage complex data protection queries
  • Coordinate and respond to data subject rights requests
  • Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a data protection function within a financial services business, specifically handling data subject rights requests and breaches, and the development and implementation of policies and processes as part of the data protection risk framework; have demonstrable knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, EU GDPR and PECR; be an effective communicator able to relay information and guidance to stakeholders across the business; and hold an industry recognised qualification in Data Protection.
