The Role

As a Grade B Solicitor, you will play a pivotal role in the Court of Protection team, handling complex and high-value cases with a focus on settlement matters and client care. You will also contribute to the firm’s ongoing growth through team mentorship, business development, and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Expert Legal Services:Provide first-rate legal advice on complex matters and high-value settlements while maintaining excellent client care.
  • Uphold Compliance and Standards:Ensure adherence to firm policies and regulatory requirements, including those set by the Law Society and CILEX.
  • Drive Business Development:Actively promote the firm’s services, build a professional brand, and nurture relationships with clients and referrers to generate new opportunities.
  • Lead and Support the Team:Supervise less experienced staff, assist with onboarding, and contribute to team success by meeting targets and sharing expertise.
  • Maintain Accuracy and Transparency:Manage billing, financial records, and risk assessments effectively, while promptly addressing claims, complaints, or potential concerns.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 6 years PQE, ideally in Court of Protection (though not essential).
  • Strong legal acumen and the ability to handle complex cases effectively.
  • Excellent communication, people management, and time management skills.
  • A proactive approach to business development and team support.
  • A commitment to compliance, risk management, and client care.
