Satis Education are recruiting! Are you an experienced leader with a passion for supporting young people? We are seeking exceptional Senior Leaders to join our dynamic secondary school in Merseyside. A background in a SEN and/or PRU setting would be an advantage but not essential if you can demonstrate strong impact pastorally in mainstream.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and management to the senior leadership team, staff, and students, ensuring the smooth running of the school.
  • Lead on strategic planning and school improvement, working closely with governors and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operational management, ensuring effective support for students with challenging behaviour or additional needs.
  • Support and develop the wellbeing of all students and staff, promoting a positive school culture.
  • Manage and monitor the quality of teaching and learning across both the mainstream secondary provision and SEN.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for all learners.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in senior leadership within a secondary school setting.
  •  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire staff and students.
  • A proven track record of successfully improving student outcomes and supporting diverse groups of learners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including parents, staff, and external professionals.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with students with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding regulations and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with running a PRU.
