Your new companyHays Education are working with a Secondary school in Sefton who are looking for a motivated and passionate reading mentor to join their team. This will be a long-term role for the right candidate, starting as soon as possible.Your new roleThis role will involve:

  • Working alongside the pastoral team
  • Providing targetted reading for students
  • Supporting students with special educational needs
  • Maximising students' reading ability
  • Enhancing students' literacy skills

What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role, you must have a full DBS on the update service/documents to apply for one as well as:

  • Previous experience working with children/within a school (references needed)
  • Strong reading/literacy skills
  • Brilliant communication and organisational skills
  • Previous experience as a reading mentor (desirable)
  • Previous experience working with SEN pupils (desirable)
