Description

To support the Funding and Compliance team in ensuring the College meets the regulatory requirements placed on it by the funding bodies and to ensure the mitigation of data and compliance risk in relation to the contractual funding requirements of all external bodies. Supporting with the input of student data on to college systems with a high level of accuracy and in a timely way.  Working with other teams across college to support with funding and compliance.  

Support ongoing data monitoring to drive up the quality of the College’s data by highlighting any data issues and advising on potential solutions.  Supporting other teams to improve levels of compliance and to assist in the enrolment processes for WBL, Partnerships and Classroom based delivery. 

Assist the wider Funding & Compliance team with monitoring compliance within College processes and funding body requirements, working across all income streams, including ESFA funded classroom and apprenticeship, higher education, devolved funded, and full cost.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To maintain an up to date knowledge of funding guidance and regulations in order to ensure compliance with external requirements and provide advice to other staff.
  2. Manually input data documents to required deadlines and standards.
  3. Compliance checking documentation to the required deadlines and standards
  4. To support the cleansing of college data, supporting in ensuring that records are compliant 
  5. To support the wider Funding & Compliance team with data checks and assist with corrective action taken to improve the College’s data quality, this will include use of PDSATs, internal compliance audits, etc
  6. Support the creation and distribution of weekly reporting and following up actions required with other college teams
  7. To assist in the preparation of data for internal and external audits
  8. To support the course file and curriculum planning processes
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Criteria

  1. Experience of using a student records system. E.g. ProSolution, EBS, Unit-E, etc
  2. Ability to manage own workload with minimal supervision
  3. Experience of data entry and compliance checks in a Further Education Sector
  4. A minimum of 2 years administration experience in an education setting
  5. Ability to deliver accurate data entry with a high level of attention to detail
  6. Engaged in Continuing Professional Development
  7. High level of communication and interpersonal skills 
  8. Minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy or willingness to complete
  9. IT knowledge to a high standard

Desirable Criteria 

  1. Experience of working in a Further Education MIS department
  2. A sound knowledge of the Individualised Learner Record (ILR), funding regulations and audit requirements for further education
  3. A sound knowledge of Apprenticeship Funding Guidance and requirements
  4. Experience of supporting internal and external audits
