Our client is seeking a Category Manager to support the continued delivery of their operations through the development and implementation of sustainable, value-adding, and resilient supply chain strategies. This role will be focused on Category Management, including embedding supplier relationship management and delivering supply chain strategies and value initiatives.

What you'll do:

As a Category Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of category plans and strategic supply initiatives across functional and organisational boundaries. You will engage with stakeholders to align business strategy and policy, ensuring optimum value for money. Your role will involve managing supplier performance across a specific portfolio of contracts/agreements, providing procurement, project, and administration support across the Group. You will also be responsible for creating and assuring the quality of sourcing documents.

  • Support the alignment of business strategy and policy to deliver category plans
  • Proactively manage supplier performance across a specific portfolio of contracts/agreements
  • Provide procurement, project, and administration support across the Group
  • Support the management of supplier contracts/agreements and service level agreements to ensure reduced risk
  • Provide commercial expertise and guidance
  • Work collaboratively with the Sourcing team to ensure delivery of compliant procurement
  • Responsible for creation and quality assurance of sourcing documents

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Category Manager position brings a wealth of knowledge in regulated procurement, including delivering strategies across multiple supplier categories. You have experience working with high-performing teams, influencing senior-level business stakeholders, managing supplier relationships for continuous improvement, as well as drafting and implementing procurement policies. Your ability to balance conflicting business priorities while ensuring commercial compliance sets you apart.

  • Knowledge and experience of regulated procurement including delivering strategies across multiple supplier categories
  • Experience of working with and developing a high performing team
  • Ability to work with and influence senior level business stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience of supplier relationship management methods and application to drive continuous improvement and value delivery
  • Knowledge and experience of drafting and implementing procurement policies and governance models
