Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Job Summary: The Distribution Manager will oversee the distribution operations of our clients wholesale business. This role involves managing the logistics, inventory, and delivery processes to ensure efficient and timely distribution of products to their clients & customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on the FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Logistics Management: Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods
  • Inventory Control: Ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained and manage stock control to prevent overstocking or stockouts
  • Delivery Coordination: Oversee the scheduling and routing of delivery vehicles to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff and delivery drivers, providing training and support as needed
  • Compliance: Ensure all distribution activities comply with industry regulations and company policies, including health and safety standards
  • Customer Service: Address and resolve any distribution-related issues or complaints from clients
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on distribution performance, including key metrics and KPIs
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance distribution efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution or logistics management, preferably in the beverage industry
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management software and logistics systems
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
