About the Role:
As Senior Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Strategically sourcing goods and services to enhance quality and drive innovation at optimal cost.
- Leading category management strategies and cross-functional teams.
- Ensuring responsible sourcing in line with ethical, regulatory, and sustainability standards.
- Acting as a consultative partner, providing insights across spend categories.
- Championing best-in-class procurement processes and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimise cost and supplier relationships.
- Utilise SAP Ariba and other tools to drive procurement efficiency.
- Lead negotiations and establish long-term supplier partnerships.
- Provide market intelligence and regular reporting on cost-saving initiatives.
- Manage supplier relationships, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP experience desirable).
- Understanding of contract principles and supplier development.
- Degree-level qualification (business-related preferred) and CIPS accreditation (desirable).
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and overseas.
