Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires excellent team management skills and the ability to handle various business processes related to shipping and receiving.
Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Manage shipping and receiving activities
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Implement and optimise warehouse management systems
- Train and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Facilitate heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring proper techniques are followed to maintain safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline business processes and improve overall logistics performance.
Skills
- Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse environment.
- Experience with 3PL operations is advantageous.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce.
- Knowledge of business processes related to logistics and warehousing.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
