Your new roleAs a Maintenance Engineer, you will support the effective operation of plant equipment and machinery. Your responsibilities include:
- Problem-solving equipment issues and recovering reactive breakdowns.
- Leading and supporting continuous improvement (C.I.) projects.
- Completing routine maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and optimise productivity.
- Installing, relocating, and modifying equipment and machinery.
- Ensuring maintenance activities comply with safety and regulatory standards.
What you'll need to succeedSkills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to quickly resolve maintenance issues.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and dynamic risk assessments.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Experience in identifying and implementing improvements.
Need to have:
- Relevant vocational qualification (e.g., NVQ, ONC, C&G, HNC, HND) with an apprenticeship.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance/engineering environment.
- Experience with improvement projects.
- Good communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Maintenance supervision experience.
- Experience with heat treatment equipment.
- Experience with a CMMS.
- Forklift truck and IPAF licences.
