manufacturing company in the UK. You will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. The position will appeal to a strong manager looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.
Role DescriptionKey Accountabilities:- Ensure safe operation across people, plant, and process always.- Deliver the daily and weekly production plan, maintaining product quality.- Collaborate with management to ensure appropriate staffing levels and team skills.- Lead, manage, coach, and drive the production team to achieve KPIs.- Support management in developing the business operating plan.- Cover for the Head of Production as needed.Key Responsibilities:- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and liaise with the H&S Team to maintain statutory responsibilities.- Maintain excellent GMP standards, aligning with BRC requirements.- Deliver the daily production plan and complete shift reports.- Manage, report, and drive KPIs including safety, quality, throughput, yield, waste, labour effectiveness, and downtime.- Work with planning and technical teams to ensure order fulfilment while maintaining compliance.- Motivate, manage, and develop team workers, supporting recruitment and retention.- Conduct daily maintenance walk-rounds and report issues to the Engineering Team.- Support NPD and the installation and operation of new equipment and processes.
Skills and Qualifications- Health & Safety awareness and management- Good communication skills (written and verbal)- Integrity and sound judgment under pressure- People management and influencing skills- Knowledge of thermoforming machines is a benefit
