We are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our client, a global leader in the oil industry. You will be an integral part of their team, delivering outstanding results and ensuring world-class standards. As a Production Shift Manager, you will oversee team adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards, while motivating and supporting them. If you have experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement, this is the opportunity for you.

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £60,000 - £63,000 per annum

Type: FTC contract, initially 3-6 months, with potential for permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Manage production resources and prioritise production requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area.
  • Act as a focal point for emergency situations.
  • Investigate customer complaints and work with the team to improve standards.
  • Develop and update SOPs.
  • Provide long-term production cover and short-term cover for shipping gaps.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production process and equipment issues.
  • Support other functions across the site when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong safety, quality, and environmental culture.
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to work as part of a team or independently.
  • IT skills, including experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • HNC level education or equivalent.

Desirable Experience:

  • Food manufacturing in a continuous process.
  • Lean manufacturing skills.
  • Industry knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Scissor lift trained and forklift experience.
  • Shipping experience and banksman trained.
  • Production line experience.
  • Chemical process manufacturing.
