Brief
Fabric Technician needed for a well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Liverpool who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Fabric Technician hat takes pride in their work.
To undertake / oversee all fabric works and elements of statutory compliance across several schools in the Liverpool area. This is a customer facing role, often with tight deadlines, so communications skills and ability to prioritise tasks are essential. The role will cover reactive and proactive responsibilities relating to the condition and appearance of the building fabrics across the schools.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Fabric Technician will include:
- Carry out all fabric duties such as laying vinyl and repairing vinyl, laying carpet tiles delivered to specification within SLA or project timescales, assisting the FM team with fabric and ADHOC requests
- Organise the ordering of materials and parts to site as required, ensure paperwork and records are supplied and CAFM systems updated
- Understand and meet ongoing customer requirements, develop effective working relationships with business partners, including sub-contractors management, completing all relevant permits.
- To undertake PPM and reactive works to ensure that all jobs are completed in line with Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators and Critical Performance Indicators
- To liaise as necessary with client representatives and resolve any matters which may arise.
- To ensure that work is completed on target and to the satisfaction of the client.
- To immediately report any potentially dangerous situations to the Management.
- Participation in the emergency on-call system on an agreed rota basis.
- To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans
- To comply with the Company's Policies, Management Plans and Procedures
- To undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the Department / Service.
What experience you need to be the successful Fabric Technician:
- ONC/C&G or equivalent in relevant are of expertise - flooring installation floor welding and maintenance.
- Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely with equipment.
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety.
- Ability to measure, works to plans (method statements).
