NVH Quality Engineer (Squeak, Rattle, Water, Air) - 39952 - £33.81/hr umbrella rate

Primarily based at Halewood, with travel to Midlands sites as required.

What You Will Do: 

  • Lead the investigation process for Squeak & Rattle (S&R), body sealing, and water leaks, establishing root causes and collaborating closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and suppliers.
  • Utilize a hands-on approach during investigations, following 8D methodology, including the interrogation of drawings, models, and taking measurements from production.
  • Plan work/events and organize detailed activity to deliver outcomes, strategizing work streams based on the Business Plan.
  • Demonstrate good negotiation skills to promote issues to the next phase of investigation, engaging with cross-functional areas proactively and personably.
  • Deliver presentations to work groups and senior management, showcasing your ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Analyze large data sets to translate into actionable next steps, utilizing MS Office applications and planning work in 2-week sprints based on priority.

What You Will Bring:  

  • Demonstrable problem-solving experience, e.g., Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solving.
  • Knowledge and understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and a full UK driving licence.
  • Previous experience in New Model Launch or Vehicle Manufacturing operations is preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of vehicle engineering related to Squeaks & Rattle or Water.
  • An Automotive Engineering / Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent automotive experience is preferred.
