Maintenance Supervisor

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join the engineering team at a successful manufacturing company in Liverpool.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will co-ordinate engineering activities for the Maintenance Technicians, ensuring all machines are effectively maintained and optimised and ensuring compliance with all relevant HSE legislation.
Key Tasks:
- Day to day supervision of a team of Mechanical & Electrical Technicians, ensuring the delivery of plant objectives
- Provide hands-on maintenance support across site
- Ensure all work is completed on time according to production plans and in compliance to relevant standards and legislation
- Manage PPM and inspection programs via CMMS (Shire)
- Develop the PM system and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with production to ensure plant meets all KPI's
- Provide strong leadership, conduct PDR's and monitor training needs
- Develop engineering systems to help move the department forward
- Contribute to Capex projects and CI activities
Key requirements:
- Time served Mechanical / Electrical Engineer (HND/Degree)
- Experience of supervising/managing a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment
- Experienced CMMS user, ideally Shire
- Able to perform appraisals/development reviews
- Strong motivator - creates morale and spirit within team
- Improvement mind-set
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
