Personal Assistant - Education Sector

  • Salary - 27,500 - 31,000 (Depending on experience)
  • Contract - 12 month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)
  • Location - Liverpool
  • Hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4pm
  • Term time hours (other than 2 weeks work required during summer holidays)

Search are partnering with a school based in South Liverpool who are looking to appoint an organized individual with high levels of secretarial and administration skills to play a pivotal role in supporting the Headteacher.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and impeccable attention to detail with the ability to work independently whilst managing multiple tasks simultaneously in response to the Schools changing operational needs.

The role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract as the position is maternity cover.

The main responsibilities for the post are to:

  • Provide daily administrative support to the Headteacher and wider Leadership Team
  • Organise meetings, agendas, take minutes and follow up actions
  • Carry out fact-finding research and report in an analytical, summative format, as required
  • Monitor statutory changes and advise on implications for policy and protocols
  • Manage internal and external communications, including social media platforms
  • Act as a professional Clerk for the Governing Body

Skills / Experience required:

  • Highly organised, with superb communication skills, a can-do attitude and a learning mindset
  • A calm approach with excellent attention to detail is essential, along with high customer service standards and an enquiring mind. All support, and guidance will be available to the successful candidate.
  • Previous school experience is not essential (though may be helpful), and applications are encouraged from those with transferrable skills from other sectors.
