We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in sustainable investing and eager to learn and grow in the field of ESG analysis. As a Trainee ESG Analyst, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and work closely with experienced analysts to develop your skills in evaluating companies ESG performance and integrating sustainability factors into investment decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

On-the-Job Training:Participate in a structured training program to gain a deep understanding of ESG principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
Research and Analysis: Assist senior analysts in conducting ESG research and analysis, including data collection, qualitative and quantitative assessment, and performance benchmarking of companies based on ESG criteria.

Reporting and Presentation:Contribute to the preparation of ESG reports, presentations, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and clients, highlighting key findings and insights related to ESG performance and impact on investment decisions.

Integration and Engagement:Support efforts to integrate ESG considerations into investment strategies and engage with portfolio companies on ESG issues, including participating in shareholder meetings and dialogue with company management.
Industry Trends:Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory developments in sustainable investing and ESG disclosure, and provide insights to enhance the firms ESG investment approach.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Studies, or related field.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent research and critical thinking abilities.
Effective communication and presentation skills.

Preferred:Certification(s) in ESG Investing (e.g., CFA Institutes Certificate in ESG Investing, SASBs Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting, Financial Regulation courses, etc.).
Previous experience in a financial position or related field is advantageous but not required.
