Job Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the acute general team at Aintree Hospital. The role involves working closely with patients to assess their needs, promote recovery, and support them in achieving maximum independence in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' functional abilities in acute settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to address physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Provide education and advice to patients, families, and carers to support recovery.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage a varied caseload effectively.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous NHS experience in acute general settings (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
