An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and skilled Band 6 Respiratory Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team based in Leicester. The successful candidate will work within the respiratory service, supporting patients with a variety of respiratory conditions, including long-term respiratory diseases.

Role Overview:

  • Position: Band 6 Respiratory Occupational Therapist
  • Location: Leicester
  • Hours: Full time (part-time applicants will also be considered)
  • Salary: £26-28 per hour, depending on experience
  • Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with respiratory conditions
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to promote independence and improve quality of life
  • Supporting patients in managing their respiratory conditions through education, exercise programs, and adaptive strategies
  • Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for patients
  • Providing support and advice to patients and their families on managing symptoms and maximizing independence
  • Regularly reviewing patient progress and adapting care plans as required

Essential Requirements:

  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience working with patients with respiratory conditions is essential
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in a Band 5/6 role within the NHS or similar setting
