An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and skilled Band 6 Respiratory Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team based in Leicester. The successful candidate will work within the respiratory service, supporting patients with a variety of respiratory conditions, including long-term respiratory diseases.
Role Overview:
- Position: Band 6 Respiratory Occupational Therapist
- Location: Leicester
- Hours: Full time (part-time applicants will also be considered)
- Salary: £26-28 per hour, depending on experience
- Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with respiratory conditions
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to promote independence and improve quality of life
- Supporting patients in managing their respiratory conditions through education, exercise programs, and adaptive strategies
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for patients
- Providing support and advice to patients and their families on managing symptoms and maximizing independence
- Regularly reviewing patient progress and adapting care plans as required
Essential Requirements:
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working with patients with respiratory conditions is essential
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in a Band 5/6 role within the NHS or similar setting
