Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join the dynamic A&E team. The role involves providing rapid assessments, implementing interventions, and ensuring safe and timely discharges for patients presenting to the emergency department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in the A&E department.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet patients' needs.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate smooth patient flow and discharge planning.
  • Provide expert advice to patients, families, and healthcare staff on functional independence and rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with Trust policies.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Proven experience in acute care or emergency settings.
  • Strong decision-making and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
