A leading international food manufacturer is seeking a experienced Packaging Technologist / Lead to beresponsible for ensuring packaging compliance to relevant local and international market regulations (e.g. PPWR, PPT, EPR).
The Packaging Technologist will be responsible for collating and providing the appropriate technical information as part of assessments against these regulations andwould also be responsible for managing packaging specifications and compliance documentation for both new and existing packaging format.
It's an excellent opportunity for someone to lead and own the packaging sustainability agenda with career development opportunities within an international food group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure packaging and packaging information comply with relevant packaging regulations (e.g., PPWR, PPT, EPR).
- Monitor changes in packaging legislation, developing and maintaining a compliance roadmap.
- Manage and create packaging specifications for existing and new packaging formats.
- Develop and implement compliance testing protocols and schedules.
- Supporttrials and production activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements and contribute to sustainability initiatives.
- Compile and provide accurate technical information for regulatory assessments.
Person Specification:
- Knowledge / interest in packaging regulations (e.g PPWR, PPT, EPR) and compliance.
- Previous experience in a packaging /technical / regulatory role in a food, pharma or consumer goods industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a good eye for detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in IT packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Flexibility, agility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- High motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
