Milk Education are recruiting for a Phonics Intervention Buddy for a Primary School in L6 to work on a long-term basis starting ASAP! This is a school who prides itself on being supportive and inclusive, with high standards of attainment and behaviour.

Phonics Intervention Buddy Role & Responsibilities:
- Work with children who may be struggling with phonics, reading, lack language skills or have little confidence
- Support pupils to apply comprehension strategies independently to reading tasks, contexts and subjects
- Plan and deliver 1-1 reading interventions suitable for primary aged children
- Carefully select texts to match each student’s reading level, these texts are used in targeted lessons where you will work with students to improve their comprehension skills
Phonics Intervention Buddy Non-negotiables:
- Have a strong understanding and knowledge of phonics and different schemes, for example; Read, Write, Inc, Jolly Phonics, Floppy Phonics etc
- Have a good grasp of written and spoken English
- An understanding of and commitment to safeguarding children
- Enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.
- A good work ethic
