Desian Education are working alongside a welcoming and vibrant primary school committed to providing a nurturing environment for children to thrive. We are seeking a School Administrator to join a dedicated team and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. The school is based in South Liverpool.

The role is part time and the hours are 8am until 1pm Monday to Friday. The school may also consider full time options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff, providing excellent customer service.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate student records, attendance registers, and school databases (SIMS experience preferred).
  • Assist with school admissions, enrolments, and pupil data updates.
  • Support financial processes, including processing invoices and managing petty cash.
  • Assist with organising school events, trips, and meetings.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks comply with safeguarding and data protection policies.

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a school setting.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in a school environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience using SIMS or other school management systems.
  • Knowledge of school admissions and attendance procedures.
  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training).
