Our client are recruiting a locum Occupational Therapist for their team to carry out community local authority assessments for both standard and specialist equipment, minor and major adaptations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Complete strength based assessments for people with disabilities within the City Council's eligibility criteria, applying the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
  • Recommend and organise the supply of equipment and structural adaptations to meet the assessed need.
  • Demonstrate to people with disabilities and their carers in the use of equipment and/or adaptations provided.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Relevant experience working in a local authority and be confident and competent in the completion of manual handling assessments.
