General Overview:
- Carry out the delivery of Planned & Reactive Maintenance relating to all plumbing and drainage infrastructure. For example, TMV, Thermal Balancing Valves, Shower Head clean & disinfection, Pressure Reducing Valves, replacement of toilets and cisterns, Temperature Monitoring, etc….
- Carry out the delivery of Planned & Reactive Maintenance to all building services, Heating, Ventilation, Closed Loop and Domestic Water systems.
- Carry out the delivery of Planned & Reactive Maintenance of pipework, valves, fittings, and fixtures.
- Carry out the delivery of Projects in support of Small Works and Variations as requested through line management teams.
- Ensure good understanding of systems to enable swift resolution and minimise downtime of assets. Have the ability to be dynamic in diagnostic assessments and effecting temporary repairs if so required.
- Understand and follow specified job plans and manufacturers specifications relating to all works undertaken.
- Maintain accurate electronic & hard copy records of all works undertaken, ensuring accuracy of job plan timings, log notes, and information supporting corrective/remedial works.
- Ensure all Installations, Maintenance and Repairs meet the requirements of the appropriate SHTMs and related regulations such as Scottish Water Byelaws.
- All work to be carried out to the relevant trade standards.
- Assisting and advising management on Statutory compliance.
- Provide regular updates to the helpdesk & management teams on the progress of open work orders.
- Undertake Point of Work Risk Assessment prior to starting work evidencing it is safe to proceed.
- Risk assessments and Methods statements (RAMS) are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken.
- Ensure the provision of a safe and healthy working environment, which includes the wearing of PPE.
Impact:
The position is part of an mobile site team for 8 schools in Knowsley with Electricians, fabric and HVAC engineers
There is a varied selection of mechanical systems to maintain such as heating, cooling and domestic hot water and cold-water systems.
Proactive, Motivated and Effective team working is important to facilitate the required on-site culture and ability to succeed in the delivery of a first-class service to our client.
Complexity:
A thorough working knowledge and understanding of water distribution systems and is required to enable the job holder to not only maintain but also to competently investigate, diagnose and implement repairs/alterations to these systems.
Technical support for more complex problems on these systems will be provided by the technical managers on site, Authorising Persons, Responsible Persons, Authorising Engineers, and specialist subcontractors where required.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
Completed a relevant apprenticeship and be qualification to minimum of NC (or equivalent) level.
