Assitant Planning Manager (Rail)

The role of Assistant Planning Manager in the Infrastructure team is pivotal for ensuring operational excellence, fostering a positive culture, and driving strategic objectives. The focus is on collaborative planning and execution, managing possessions, isolations, and live line work while championing safety, customer service, and sustainable growth.Responsibilities:• Develop and execute Safe Work Packs (SWPs), ALO plans, and ensure timely and accurate compliancewith relevant standards.• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to align team efforts with business objectives.• Influence operational excellence across work sites, mitigating financial, reputational, and statutory risks.• Drive sustainable growth through strategic client relationships and cross-selling opportunities.• Support and engage in health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives, fostering a safe working environment• Proactively address operational requirements and operational challenges.• Lead efforts to innovate reporting, metrics, and KPIs for continuous improvement.• Optimise resource utilisation through shared functions and standardised processes.• Ensure100% compliance with auditing and authorisations for SSOW packs over a 12-month period.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:• Technical Expertise: Proficient in the creation of SWP and the systems required for this.• Holds a COSS competence• Health & Safety: In-depth knowledge of workplace safety standards (NR/L2/OHS/019 compliance).• Communication: Skilled in clear, concise, professional written and verbal communication.• Planning & Organising: Ability to coordinate operational objectives effectively.Desirable Knowledge and Skills:• Innovation & Technology: Experience in creating and implementing new reports, KPIs, and metrics.• Technical Expertise: Proficient in rail planning systems (e.g., PPS, GZAC, On-Trac) and isolation planning
