The business runs at such a fast pace and the array of challenges varies each day; meaning that my knowledge and skill set evolves on a daily basis".Your new roleIn this role, you will work alongside the Group Planning Director to manage a diverse caseload of planning-related activities. You will collaborate with senior Directors within the business and the Property and Project Teams to deliver strategic business initiatives. Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the planning process for infrastructure schemes, from pre-application discussions to the submission and favourable determination of planning applications.You will lead and manage the preparation of Master Plans and related studies/assessments, and instigate effective stakeholder engagement. Additionally, you will support Directors in all regulatory planning elements of their business, managing and supporting the submission of permitted development projects. You will also lead in the submission of written responses to national and local planning and related policy consultations.What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working with Local Planning Authorities.
  • Holding or being close to completing an MRTPI qualification.
  • Extensive development management experience, combined with planning application/EIA process experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to internal and external stakeholders and influencing others.
  • Strong community/stakeholder management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple development projects concurrently.
  • Willingness to travel to other sites within the Group across the UK as required.
