Desian education are supporting a GOOD South Liverpool Primary school who are seeking a passionate and experienced Year 6 Teacher. This position will be starting as soon as possible and will be for the remainder of the academic year. The teacher would be joining the school to support the pupils through an important stage of their education so the school are ideally looking for someone who can hit the ground running. The successful candidate will need to have a strong commitment to academic excellence and a nurturing approach to pupil well-being. You will be supported by a strong and hands on SLT and an experienced year 6 teacher.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum.
  • Preparing pupils for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments (SATs) with confidence and competence.
  • Assessing, monitoring, and supporting the progress of all pupils to ensure they achieve their full potential.
  • Creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver a cohesive and enriched curriculum.
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers to support learning and development.
