Design Coordinator

Liverpool

£40,000 + Package

Our client are a well established and continuously growing construction company based in Liverpool. They are looking for a Design Coordinator to join their team!

In this role you will be required to coordinate all aspects of the Design process, from initial stages through to completion, with the focus is on working closely with the Design Managers in coordinating all design aspects of the project.

The ideal Design Coordinator will -

  • Have a full understanding of the main contract conditions and the general contractor offer document and how these pertain to the complete design process including:
    • Appointment of designers
    • Notation of designers
    • Appointment of contractors
    • Design and/ or CDP responsibilities
    • BIM & digital delivery responsibilities
    • Change process and time bars
    • Submittal and drawing approval responsibilities
    • Client KPIs relating to design
    • Client design standards
  • Help to coordinate all areas of design on the project including BIM & Digital (Design and Coordination) and Information Management functions.
  • Coordinate and work closely with the HSE team to coordinate this across all design functions.
  • Monitor and report on design progress against the Design and BIM schedule.
  • Support the change process alongside the commercial function, help administer all changes involving design.
  • Be aware of all relevant codes and legislation for the project in relation to design.
  • Have a good level of understanding of the code and legislation requirements pertaining to the location and nature of the project.
  • Have a relevant understanding of the Design Standards / Guides.
