Senior Project Manager - with foreign travel

I am recruiting an experienced Project Manager to run large, foreign based, infrastructure projects. You will need to based "in-country" for around 50% of the time, with regular returns breaks in the UK. You should expect to be abroad for around 2out of 4weeks at a time. Travel and accommodation will be fully expensed. Between contracts you will based either at home or at the headquarters outside Widnes.

Depending on experience and what you can bring to the role, the salary ranges from 70 - 80K

You will ideally come from an infrastructure (water, gas, comms), oil & gas or construction background and have experience of working with company teams and local contractors. You will be able to work autonomously and have worked on projects with values around 30M or more.

Please note that this role would not suit someone from IT, Finance or similar background. It requires experience of project management with physical items.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage projects from initiation to completion
- Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, team members, and clients to ensure project success
- Monitor project progress and identify any potential risks or issues
- Implement project management best practices and methodologies
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance
- Conduct regular project status meetings and prepare reports for senior management
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards

Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in using project management software
- Ability to supervise and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- Knowledge of cost control techniques to monitor project budgets
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
