Our primary school in the L19 area of Liverpool is dedicated to providing exceptional support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Behaviour Mentor to join our team starting in January 2025. The successful candidate will work closely with students who require additional behavioural support, helping them to develop positive behaviours and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted behavioural support to students with SEND.

  • Develop and implement behaviour management plans tailored to individual student's needs.

  • Work one-on-one and in small groups with students to promote positive behaviour and social skills.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create a cohesive approach to behaviour management.

  • Monitor and record student's progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND is essential.

  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or behaviour management are preferred.

  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
