An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a UK-based manufacturing organisation on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave in a Finance Business Partner role. This role supports key operational stakeholders across the business in a finance business partner capacity.


The Finance Business Partner is crucial to the continued success of the business, working closely with senior leadership to drive sustainable and profitable growth. The role will provide financial insight and reporting, supporting both sales and operational teams to meet budgetary goals. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a highly visible role at the core of the business.

Salary/benefits:

  • £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
  • 12-15 month contract
  • Hybrid/ home-based with occasional travel across the UK


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure complete and accurate period-end accounts are submitted to the group
  • Provide timely and accurate commercial reporting
  • Lead monthly financial reviews with operational and sales teams, offering insights on performance
  • Identify margin and profit enhancement opportunities
  • Support the maintenance of standard costings
  • Lead and prepare bi-annual price reviews
  • Ensure financial and commercial robustness in tenders
  • Lead and prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Support the ongoing evolution of commercial processes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Understand and interpret key business performance drivers
  • Act as a Business Partner to General Managers

  • Financial Controller


Ideal Candidate:

  • Fully qualified (or qualified by experience) accountant with experience in finance business partnering within the manufacturing sector
  • Strong communicator with a proven ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance teams
  • Demonstrated commercial and business awareness with the ability to interpret financial data
  • Proactive self-starter capable of driving value-added change in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Analytical with a knack for translating data into actionable insights
  • Full driving license required for business travel
