We are a collaborative team-working business, so these roles are all fully-office based at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool (L24).
As a Junior Buyer, you will have responsibilities that cross over with both Buyer and Assistant Buyer. In this role you’ll be
- Responsible for your own product ranges/subcategory
- Support, plan & prepare for product/range sign off
- Introduce new products, whilst identifying gaps in the market
- Build strong relationships with key internal & external suppliers
As a Buyer, you will take advanced ownership of the whole category and collaborate closely with the Senior Buyer, as well as coaching and mentoring Junior Buyer /Assistant Buyer/Buying Assistants. In this role, you will
- Take accountability for planning/sourcing from UK & Far East suppliers (dependent on category)
- Work closely with Merchandisers, consistently reviewing customer market, competitor prices & performance
- Demonstrate excellence in negotiation, sharing good commercial & market awareness
