Procurement Business Partner

Procurement Business Partner required to join a world renowned not for profit organisation based in Liverpool. My client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join their dynamic and growing procurement function on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Procurement Business Partner you will work within a small team which comprises the Procurement Business Partner and the Procurement Assistant. You will report to the Head of Finance & Procurement supporting them with the organisations procurement service contributing to strategic procurement objectives alongside other duties below:

Key responsibilities of the Procurement Business Partner

  • Manage end to end procurement activities, value for money and applying best practice
  • Support the delivery of strategic outcomes from third party expenditure on goods, services and capital works
  • Design and implement the procurement process
  • Preparation of tender documentation whilst advising on evaluation criteria
  • Review performance of the organisation's service providers, monitoring KPI's and SLA's
  • Undertake supplier and spend analysis
  • Produce and manage procurement communications
  • Identify and support delivery of corporate training related to procurement initiatives
  • No direct line management responsibility

Required skills and experience of the Procurement Business Partner

  • Ideal candidate will be CIPS Level 6 Qualified or equivalent
  • Extensive experience of working within public sector procurement
  • Experience in negotiating and achieving best value from contracts
  • Contract management experience
  • Ability to manage, identify and mitigate risks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
