We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical & Electrical) to join a leading infrastructure project on a 6-month contract (with a strong chance of extension). This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled QS to work on high-value infrastructure schemes while benefiting from Outside IR35 status.
Role Overview:- Managing cost control, procurement, and commercial governance of M&E packages
- Preparing detailed valuations, variations, and final accounts in line with contractual obligations
- Ensuring financial efficiency and compliance with NEC contracts and procurement frameworks
- Conducting risk assessments, value engineering, and cost forecasting to optimise project expenditure
- Liaising with supply chain partners, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure commercial viability
- Overseeing interim payments, cost reporting, and financial auditing to maintain project budgets
- Identifying and mitigating contractual risks, claims, and disputes
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on mechanical and electrical infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts, cost planning, and change management
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams within strict deadlines
- Excellent negotiation, commercial acumen, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in cost control software, BOQs, and financial forecasting tools
