Job Opportunity: Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor

PQ Recruit is excited to present an opportunity for a Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable Construction company based in the vibrant regions of Merseyside & Wirral.. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in Quantity Surveying, specifically within the Housing sector, to manage and oversee various projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing valuable insights and support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial cost estimates through to final account settlements. Your leadership and communication skills will be crucial in liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, and financial reports for housing projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies to ensure project viability.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients and suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress and provide guidance to ensure compliance with JCT standards.
  • Team management and collaboration with project teams to enhance delivery efficiency.
  • Administer change management processes and resolve disputes effectively.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, particularly within the Housing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of JCT contracts and construction law.
  • Exceptional numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
