As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
About the Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor with expertise in roads and sewers, you will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring financial efficiency, and delivering projects on time and within budget. This position offers the chance to work on diverse and challenging projects, collaborating closely with project teams to maintain the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and reports.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and value engineering.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, contracts, and performance.
- Assess and certify subcontractor valuations and payments.
- Ensure accurate measurement and valuation of work on-site.
- Handle contract administration and dispute resolution.
- Provide regular financial updates and risk analysis to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers to track progress and manage variations.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in road and sewer projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, such as NEC or JCT.
- Exceptional analytical and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in cost estimation and financial management tools.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Membership with RICS (or working towards it) is advantageous.
