The client - Quantity Surveyor - Housing Association:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a housing association based in Liverpool. This is an initial six month fixed term contract which could potentially become permanent, paying circa. £55,000 per annum subject to experience.

The role - Quantity Surveyor - Housing Association:

  • Manage the administration and commercial interests of the organization including pre and post contract duties
  • Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers to achieve best value to a programme, whilst protecting the business contractually and providing accurate financial forecasting
  • Work closely with the technical construction teams on new build housing projects from conception to handover
  • Attend project design and pre-contract meetings as well as site progress meetings to ensure a full knowledge of the project and its contractual obligations
  • Responsible for key aspects of financial and contract management for schemes including monthly management reports

The person - Quantity Surveyor - Housing Association:

  • Experience of working as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Degree or HNC level in a related discipline. CIOB/RICS is desirable
  • Ability to understand and contribute to the development of technical drawings and specifications
  • Thorough understanding of building regulations and health and safety legislation
