Quantity Surveyor // Permanent Role // Liverpool // Up to £65,000

This role is responsible for overseeing multiple contracts simultaneously and serving as the office-based representative for dealings with subcontractors and clients. The Quantity Surveyor will ensure compliance with all national and local procedures, regulations, and codes, and will provide progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis.

As a quantity surveyor, you'll seek to minimise the cost and risk of a joinery contracts and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required legal standards and quality for our clients. You'll prepare costs of the work and when the project is in progress, you'll keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability. You'll be involved in joinery contracts, projection for costs and margins.

Your exact duties will vary to a certain extent depending on whether you work for a on sub-contractor process or directly with the clients and commercial teams.

Duties include:

  • assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility reports to ensure their proposals will work
  • prepare contract documents,
  • identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks
  • provide advice on contractual claims and disputes
  • maintain awareness of the different house building contracts in current use
  • Finalising of measurement details with client commercial teams.
  • Dispute resolutions.
