They are a leading groundworks sub-contractor, specialising in all aspects of groundworks and civil engineering. They have an excellent track record in delivering an excellent stand in every aspect of their undertaken works, so it is ESSENTIAL that you have vast experience within the civil engineering sector, be it in a domestic, commercial or industrial environment.

They are now looking to recruit a Senior QS / Commercial Manager to join their busy team.

About The Role:

As a Senior QS / Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of projects from inception to completion. Your expertise will ensure that projects are within the agreed budget and timescales, whilst ensuring standards are of the quality.

Main Responsibilities:

Providing regular financial reports and updates to the Finance management team, highlighting any potential risks or opportunities.

Conduct detailed cost analysis, including the assessment of materials, labour, and equipment expenses.

Accessing and evaluating performance, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and quality standards agreed.

Working alongside relevant project managers and engineers ensuring cost-effective solutions that meet the projects needs.

Preparation and management of project budgets, ensuring accurate cost forecasting throughout the duration of the project at hand.

Utilising available software and tools to streamline the quantity surveying process and improve efficiency.

Programme and execution of the programme .

Forecast cost / profit analysis.

Experience / Qualifications needed:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on groundworks and civil engineering projects.

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Master's degree

preferred along with a professional accreditation (MRICS / MCIOB etc).

Applicants must be proficient and have experience using Microsoft Projects and Blue Beam software.
