Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Your new role
Our client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a leading role in the financial management of high-rise residential developments in Liverpool. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, complex projects while contributing to the commercial success of the business. You will be responsible for overseeing cost control, procurement, and contract management to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the commercial aspects of high-rise residential projects from inception to completion.

  • Preparing, managing, and negotiating contracts and procurement strategies.

  • Conducting cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure financial efficiency.

  • Overseeing subcontractor tendering, valuations, and payments.

  • Identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with contractual and legal obligations.

  • Leading the cost control and value engineering processes to maximise profitability.

  • Producing detailed financial reports and advising senior management on commercial matters.

  • Mentoring and supporting junior QS team members.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the high-rise residential sector.

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Strong commercial acumen and in-depth knowledge of construction contracts.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
