We are currently working with a global leader in industry investing heavily in the expansion of their R&D facility.

As the Product Development Lead in the Heated Consumables part of their R&D Team, the successful technologist will be responsible for developing next generation formulation and product technologies which are required for the company's ambitious innovation programme and growth plans. They will be responsible for also managing small teams of technicians.

We are open to applications from experienced Product Development professionals with experience in the aerosol market. Experience with Heated Consumables is HIGHLY desired. An understanding of formulation science will also go a long way.

The main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Develop Heated Consumable products by understanding the product development process from start to finish.
  • Work with multiple departments to bring "concept to product" by understanding multiple components of the finished product.
  • Identify and formulate novel product formulations to support innovation projects.
  • Utilise a range of analytical and testing methods for characterization and performance evaluation.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations and other management task related to new product development/innovation.
  • Develop strong relationships internally and externally partners and suppliers.
  • Manage a small team of Formulation Technicians

The successful Formulation Expert will hold a BSc in Chemistry or equivalent, ideally along with industrial experience of working with heated consumables. We are happy to hear from anyone who is in a similar market working with aerosols or inhalation products.

Knowledge and experience of working across heated tobacco products is HIGHLY desired along with experience of lab scale synthesis, purification and reaction mechanisms.

Proven experience developing products is essential.
