Job Title: Setting Out Engineer  
Location: Liverpool  
Salary: Up to £50,000  
 
A highway construction company is seeking a skilled Setting Out Engineer with experience in highways projects to join their dynamic team based in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of construction works and will be responsible for setting out and surveying duties on-site.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
- Accurately setting out for construction works, particularly on highways projects, in accordance with site plans and drawings
- Conducting surveys and providing levels and measurements to ensure precise positioning
- Liaising with site management, contractors, and other engineers to coordinate site activities
- Ensuring quality control by checking dimensions and levels during the construction process
- Maintaining clear and accurate records of survey data and as-built documentation
- Providing technical support and solving site-related issues as they arise
 
Requirements:
 
- Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer, specifically on highways or road construction projects
- Proficient in the use of total stations, GPS equipment, and other surveying instruments
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods and materials, with a focus on highways
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and site plans
- Relevant degree or qualification in Civil Engineering or similar field
- Valid CSCS card is essential
