About The Role
Morrisons Energy Servicesis recruiting for aBusiness Development Managerto work on ourEV Contractsacross the UK based in Liverpool.
As Business Development Manager (EV) you will focus on winning new business in the EV sector, selling a range of services that are mainly based around the outsourcing of EV design, installation and maintenance activities together with adjacent services, e.g. solar / battery storage. You will be responsible for generating new leads that will deliver the growth required, developing client relationships and subsequent preparation and delivery of both pre-qualification and tender documents.
You will need to be comfortable with the tight deadlines and pressures of working in a business development environment, as well as the highs and lows of wins and the occasional near miss.
As theBusiness Development Manager your responsibilities will include:
  • Building Relationships: Engage with Charge Point Operators (CPOs), Energy Retailers, Local Authorities and Clients representatives to identify and seize opportunities.
  • Driving Growth: Develop and implement strategies to expand our client base, ensuring we meet the needs of the business and achieve business plan sales targets.
  • Collaborating: Work closely with internal teams to align our solutions with market demands and regulatory requirements.
  • Pitching & Presenting: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential partners and stakeholders.
  • Negotiating: Lead negotiations to secure contracts and agreements that drive mutual growth and success.
  • Staying Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, policies, and competitor activities to stay ahead of the curve.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
  • Proven experience in business development for the design and installation of EV chargers and associated electrical equipment in the heavy fleet and or fuel court EV charging sectors.
  • A deep understanding of the turnkey EV life cycle from feasibility through to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage with all levels of an organisation and influence key stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with a knack for identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • A passion for sustainability and the electric vehicle revolution.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful tenders achieving sales / BD targets.
  • Ability to operate within a professional team environment, co-ordinating the activities of multiple functions to provide input to specific bids / tenders that meet high level quality expectations.
  • Increase the pipeline of addressable opportunities within our markets.
  • Advanced MS Word skills and proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written English language skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive experience pf producing visual collateral that conveys quality and professionalism.
  • Exceptional time management / prioritisation skills.
  • Able to travel when required.
