As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and supporting the finance team with various tasks. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expenses.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • AAT qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an Accounts Assistant role or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and QuickBooks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Sage Experience desired
