About the Company: Finance Assistant required to join one of our education clients on a temporary basis.

About the role: Our client is looking for Finance Assistant with experience within education to support with the day to day transactional duties. Working as part of the Finance Team the Finance Assistant will report into the Business Manager.

Responsibilities;

  • Undertake processing of various income to include Parentpay
  • Assist with financial operations to ensure that all tasks required maintain robust financial procedures and effective use of resources are completed efficiently and with accuracy.
  • Process monthly overtime, travel and duty claims
  • Monitor variances, and take steps to address them in response to income held in suspense accounts
  • Undertake journals and internal transfers to balance month end ledger codes as directed
  • Undertake processes to support financial year end
  • Liaise with external agencies to update supplier lists, banking and other financial information as required.
  • Liaise with external agencies to monitor and update details in relation to service agreements
  • Support the banking and on-line payment functions

Qualifications:

  • Ideally qualified or working towards AAT or equivalent
  • Proven recent experience of working within education
  • Knowledge and experience of parentpay
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build report quickly, influence and engage.
