Overview

Adele Carr Recruitment are supporting a thriving company based in Liverpool City Centre who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Credit Controller to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Sales Ledger or Credit Control, will have been involved in high volume role previously, and be skilled using MS office applications including Excel for day to day activities.

Duties

  • Record all sales transactions, including credit sales, returns, and adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account details (e.g., contact information, credit terms).
  • Generate and send invoices promptly, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, and terms.
  • Record payments received and allocate them to the correct invoices.
  • Follow up on overdue payments to maintain positive cash flow.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and ensure timely payments from customers.
  • Perform credit checks on new and existing customers.
  • Reconcile the sales ledger with the general ledger regularly.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between records.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sales, receivables, overdue accounts, and credit limits.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly disposition.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and cash management.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excel capabilities including VLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables.
