Accountable to: Headteacher/Head of Drama

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a Drama Technician for a mixed secondary school on a temporary to permanent basis. Working closely with the Head of Drama, you will provide technical support to the Drama department.

This is a hands-on role requiring technical knowledge and experience of lighting, sound, stage management, and set construction. A deep understanding of social media platforms, editing software, design software and CMS. Preferably with a recognised professional theatre management qualification or equivalent.

To join us and be successful in this Secondary Drama Technician role, you will need to:

  • Have experience of working in a school or college with children aged 11- 18
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • A level of flexibility is required, especially around exam periods and school production.
