Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a specialist secondary school catering for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role will be part-time, working on Thursdays and Fridays, and is expected to continue until at least February half term, with the possibility of an extension.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to students with ASD in a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lesson content in line with the school's curriculum and policies.
  • Provide a safe and structured learning environment where students can thrive.
  • Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work closely with the SEND team and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with a compassionate and flexible approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs.
