We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RE Teacher to cover a long-term sickness absence at a well-established secondary school and sixth form in L25, South Liverpool. This role is part-time and the successful candidate would be required to teach Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality Religious Education lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring full engagement and student progress.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Tracking and reporting on student progress and providing feedback to both students and parents.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Religious Education or a related subject.
  • Previous experience teaching Religious Education in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum and examination requirements (e.g., GCSE and BTEC).
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references including your most recent employment reference.
  • Have a child workforce enhanced DBS on the update service, or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure.
